L'Ardita
The 10th edition of L’Ardita – The Alpe di Poti Vintage Cycling Event will take place in Arezzo on March 28–29, 2026. The ride will start from the enchanting Piazza Grande, in the heart of the historic center, and finish on Via Ricasoli, right in front of the Cathedral of Arezzo.
The choice of Piazza Grande, one of Arezzo's most charming squares, is no coincidence: enhancing the city’s historical and cultural heritage is one of the main goals of the event. The program will offer participants and their families a unique opportunity to explore the city and enjoy an authentic experience that combines sport and culture.
On Saturday and Sunday, in the beautiful setting of "Piazza del Comune", don’t miss the Market dedicated to historic velocipedes, spare parts, and accessories. The event will also showcase the latest innovations in the cycling world. Visitors can test ride modern gravel bikes and e-bikes, while also enjoying a selection of the finest local products.
At the heart of the festival is the “L'Ardita” a vintage bike event which takes place on Sunday 29 March 2026 and gives vintage bike enthusiasts the opportunity to take on the famous Aretine climb of Alpe di Poti which featured in last year’s edition of the Giro d’Italia 2016 as well as other important races down through the years.
The first route, the “Gourmet” is 30 km long and perfect for those looking for a relaxed ride, discovering the beauty of the area while tasting its culinary delights. The more challenging “Classic” route covers 50 km and reaches as far as Subbiano. A brand-new 65 km route has been added, featuring the climb to the Alpe di Poti. The main route remains “L’Ardita,” stretching over 80 km and including the legendary Alpe di Poti time trial—an authentic challenge for experienced cyclists.
Beautiful landscapes, great foods and lots of fun.
